Avalanche Dog at Mount Bachelor

“Avalanche Dog at Mt Bachelor” is based on a photo I took while I was at Mount Bachelor, Oregon for my birthday a few years back. This is Banyan the avalanche dog chewing on a stick. As much as I hope they never have to rescue me, I love seeing the dogs out on the mountain. They always look like they’re having so much fun, riding the chairlifts and snowmobiles with their handlers! In the quilt, I put my husband and myself in the background. We are the snowboarders in the blue and green coats!
