Winter Morning at Mirror Lake

This quilt is based on a photo I took of my husband at Mirror Lake in Yosemite National Park. This was our final morning hike before heading home, after spending 2 days exploring some of the most gorgeous landscapes I’ve ever seen. While I could never truly do this place justice, I had a lot of fun designing the patterns for the sky, and doing the thread-work on the trees and bushes with water soluble stabilizer.
