Dogs in Trinidad
“Dogs in Trinidad” is based on a photo I took of my dogs, Orca and Izzle, at Trinidad State Beach,
Northern California. This was the first quilt that I used a photo as the overall design. All of the
squares are machine pieced, and everything else is machine appliqued. I used a combination of
machine and hand embroidery for the details on the dogs, and I was especially happy with the
quilted dog paws in the borders.
