Fishing Boats in Noyo Harbor
This quilt was made from a collection of photos I took of Noyo Harbor in Fort Bragg, CA while I
was in the area on a diving / spearfishing trip. I Used a little bit of artistic license in putting the
image together, because in all the original photos, some part of the foreground was blocking
the background from view. I have always loved the character of this place. The harbor is located
just inside the mouth of the Noyo River, and the harbor contains a mix of abandoned boats and
buildings, fishing businesses, restaurants, and the off leash dog beach. There are always fishing
Boats and kayakers coming and going from the harbor.
Completed in 2019, 31″x 58″
