The Palace of Fine Arts

The Palace of Fine Arts

This quilt is based on a series of photos I took of the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. It took
381 hours to complete, from start to finish. Each part was made with layered applique,
including the traditional quilt patterns in the sky and the pathway. The water was made by
layering cotton quilting fabrics with Angelina fibers and polyester organza. It is machine quilted
on a stationary sewing machine with free motion quilting.
